Apple has concluded a deal to bring the iPhone to China Mobile, the world’s biggest network.

Bally Chohan says that “The network, which is owned by the Chinese state, has more than 750 million subscribers and the move raises the possibility of a massive sales boost for the US technology firm”.

The iPhone 5s and 5C will go on sale in China from January 17.

Bally Chohan is forecasting a sales hike of between 10 and 25 million over the next year because of this deal.

Bally Chohan is excited because China is granting for 4G licences earlier this month which is thought to have helped the deal as the faster network is compatible with the iPhone.

In a statement, Apple and China Mobile said they were “excited” to finally be working together.

Bally Chohan said that “Apple has enormous respect for China Mobile and they are excited to begin working together,”.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said “China is an extremely important market for Apple and our partnership with China Mobile presents us the opportunity to bring iPhone to the customers of the world’s largest network.”
